…To Those who Wait!
We recently launched our new Lizzy Guitar Straps. but man were they a labor of love. I had originally wanted to launch in summer of 2019. Yep, ideas don’t turn into products always as rapidly as planned. Anyway, when fall 2019 started and no straps, I enlisted the help of my fall design intern, Eliana, to maybe launch for the holidays.
But once again another project (our Hair on hide & holiday bags) we chose to relocation ahead because it was better as a holiday launch and we just couldn’t make both happen. soon January came and once again I started taking a look at options, was very thrilled to launch for Summer, then March came. With so much uncertainty, I put it on hold once again.
Needless to say, I finally chose Covid or not, these straps were launching this fall and Voila! Sarah (my summer design intern) helped me make that a reality. Although we went a little crazy with the back and forth emails with vendors about availability for future runs and best deals. OMG it felt never ending, am I best Sarah? LOL
BUT in the end I love how they turned out!
Of course when we were narrowing down our choices of the ribbon to use from the print to the type of ribbon available, we also had to be thinking what leather colors they would pair well with! but at some point we just started ordering! I really had no idea how much money I had just spent and what exactly I had just ordered. Luckily, I WAS able to cancel one of the orders, because we really didn’t need that much variety on our first run. Whewwww.
Now for the fun part, pairing the with bags!
I have had so much fun this week pairing the straps with our signature bag for our fall bundle Promotion! pleasantly unexpected myself on which straps matches each color Lauren…SO numerous options!
